I shall have a short sword and big shield that I can cruch under on a Spider. My troops have leather armor for the arxhers and metal armor for the ax goblins. The spiders have metal spider armor.

I'm sorry but you can't use cave spiders. We have none. I can suggest you giant olms. You can take 5 of them and each can carry 3 goblins like you wanted. That would mean all your archers are on a mount and 5 axegoblins fight on their own feet. You can see the entire list of animals in the 2nd reply.
You go gather up 10 archers and 9 axegoblins. You can't seem to get cave spiders from anywhere though. You still get 9 axes, 10 bows, a short sword, a big shield, 10 metal armor and 10 leather armor. It seems nobody makes armor for animals. Sad! You assemble your squad and break the argument about what route to take by voting to go over the mountains.
I think departing in 15 hours from now (This edit.) gives us enough time?

No... You were allowed to take (If we are talking about jabberers and rutherers.) 1 animal. A jabberer is even bigger than a rutherer. So 2 jabberers and a rutherer would be just too good for a squad. (I felt like explaining long.)

I guess it could... The rutherer is 50x bigger than a goblin. It would slow it down heavily though. With the ballista already on it. That thing's pretty huge.
