Modding the Starting Year

I recall reading about the ability to mod LCS.
I took a few looks through the 'art' files, and I believe this might indeed by true.

Which brings me to the following question..

Is it possible to mod the game to make it start at another date?

LCS is open source, so all you have to do is find where the date is set in the source code and compile that version for your own use.
