It's back up  :) The downtime had nothing to do with the amount of people. A thread on the server hangs once and a while.

Cool. I'm having fun with this.. My highest lvl equipt is an 11 chainmail tunic, and I've killed 2 legendary mobs so far. This game seems to scratch an itch that I haven't been able to reach until now. I'm excited to see what the dev adds in next

This game has reinforced an opinion that I have been developing lately.  Thank you.

Dwarf Fortress is fun not because it's random, but because it is procedurally generated.  The feel of killing hundreds of Ents is just...  mundane.  A few might be "Aggressive", "Defensive" or "Splitting", or...  what have you, but they all fight the same.  Dropping weapons also is completely random, and other than a few modifiers I don't feel any weapon is different from another.  Yes, they're vastly different in stats, but they all feel the same.  Random and generated by a set of rules...  are very different, and I prefer the later.
