Why not just make gnomes the playable race and import gnomeblight to test it?

Curious beasts desist in their curious behavior once they're a member of the playable entity (or possibly any entity).

But, god, I hope they try to drink it. Rotting them from the inside out will be so much more fun than rotting their feet.

By the way, I design table top RPGs and other games. You can buy some.

Does dropping items for a few Z-Levels up damage them? (The idea being you shatter the container, preferably one stuffed to bursting from a custom reaction.) Failing that?

Lignite doesn't incinerate, right? Build a lignite floor, set it on fire, and it should burn forever.

Build a "quantum stockpile" of the stuff over a retractable bridge. Drop 50+ barrels of the stuff on the fire ... boom?

(Of course if your going though the trouble of making flaming floors, they're useful all in them selves as you can divert tragic over.  ;D )

Can you dump the contents of a barrel? If so, will that let you pour it onto the ground?

Still curious!

no you have to forbid the contents of the barrel and then dump the barrel to seperate out the liquid.

They're nearly as bad as badgers. Build a couple of anti-buzzard SAM sites marksdwarf towers and your fortress will look like Baghdad in 2003 from all the aerial bolt spam. You waste a lot of ammo and everything is covered in unslightly exploded buzzard bits and broken bolts.
