Superimposed features
« on: March 13, 2007, 08:42:00 am »

When playing a recent game of dwarven fortress, I discovered an area that looked like this:
code:

~~~~~##
~~~~~~#
.#~~~~~
..~~~~~

. = ground
~ = river/waterfall
# = chasm

Both the chasm and the river were offshoots of the main sections.
As you can see, the river went right over the chasm.

I think it is fine to have these features collide but it should enable the river to flow down into the chasm and anger the chasm inhabitants more than usual.

why would it anger the inhabitants? it's not something that the dwarves caused; most likely, the waterfall has been pouring down into the chasm for quite a long time.

please notice that the waterfall is going down, so there is already VAST amounts of water being flooded down there.
