How'd They Do That?

"The Hammer Lord bashes The Goblin Hammerman in the nose from behind with his =Silver War Hammer=, tearing apart the cartilage through the ({cave spider silk cloak})!"

He swung the hammer up and to the side from under and around like an underhand pitch. The goblin, with his defenses focused in front of him, likely with arms up to promote a defensive yet capable attack stance, never expected an attack to come in from below.

He tapped the goblin on the shoulder, and when he turned around, cut his nose off.

Quite a few forts ago, I noticed a swordsdwarf who had never killed a goblin, but always sliced their noses off.  When I saw that about half of the stuff in my refuse pile was "So-and-so's nose", and nearly all my caged goblins were missing their noses, I realised something was getting out of hand.

And I cursed the fact that you couldn't craft with them - "This masterful crown menaces with lead and goblin noses..."

wat no he tried to choke the gob from behind and failed, causing him to smash the gob in the nose when he pulled back.
