I'm recording myself talking while I build up a fortress with a few interesting features right off the bat, screen is good quality though you're going to need to turn your sound up
Hopefully I'll fix that but I'm already 2 hours in... building a fort with a walled courtyard, irrigated some underground for farm and have just reached the point I'm going to be producing plenty o food. Have almost completed an atom smasher garbage dump and am currently planning a water powered pump to create a waterfall right in the middle of the stair case. Will be building an atom smasher drainage system as well.
As I talk I mention what keys I'm pressing and the first video starts with downloading from mayday and configuring the important bits. Then I generate a small world with 5 years history and talk about selecting a region. 2nd video I talk about selecting a region and preparing for the journey including taking into account what kind of place you're going to into your strategy.
This game is finished, I feel I showed a number of concepts people will be interested to know including where to find hidden fun stuff though did not explore at all so be warned those who watch the final episode, what you see in my vid are only the first of the challenges that await below.Achieved most of our objectives, the waterfall and drainage system appeared to be running stable and the added flood protection would hopefully prevent any overfill anyway.
We had a stable food and booze supply despite a shaky start though we never really did move out of the initial settlement, sand caves
Didn't make 200 dwarves. Remember seeing population 72 a lot in the game though I think it peaked over that.
Easily could of if I'd continued building and not dug into the adamantine

YouTubeHD44. *Spoilers* MORE goblins and a taste of the hidden fun stuff
YouTubeHDFun game, built a pretty cool little fort though if I weren't recording I would've spent a lot more time on the details and probably squeezed in a lot more production before goblin attacks came but none the less I hope I showed some interesting things and made machines easier to understand for someone and all that good feeling stuff. Hoping people will post here in support of making this thread sticky but in any case, it was fun.
