How to re-create a world

Hi,

i have found a very nice site but am unhappy with the embark. Can someone give me the essential pointers on how to find the random seed of the world and/or what else i have to take into account to re-create the world? Or are there other options?

Abandon the fortress, go into legends, and export. (I think it's p) in the DF folder, a file will generate with the world gen parameters, including seeds. use those, and you will re-create the world exactly.
