This
My first thought was that this was extremely badass.
Then I noticed the war bulldog and it all got extremely silly.

How did I miss the existence of this thread?
(Don't attempt to answer that.  Down that path lies ... well I was going to say madness but you all run towards madness as if it was made from chocolate and puppies.  Just forget I said anything.)

If only noserings and eyepatches were implemented in DF.

Culturally, I see dwarves as Russian.  Old school Russian, back before plumbing and electricity (which may not have been all that long ago, really...).  Brutal, fighting for survival, starving on the corpses of vermin as they still churn out weapons, reveling in the bloodshed of incoming hordes even as their clothes rot off their backs.

At least, mine anyways.  I sometimes have trouble keeping food stocks up...

We here have bears as pets also. Don't forget this.

And alcohol to get through the orking day is inevitable.

Farmerbob! Stop playing Warhammer! :P

How I imagine my dwarfs?
Short. Beards inclusive. Determined to go on a lifetime holiday in the magma sea, or to the circus.

I imagined Tholtig looked like this before I realized she was a female.

No, I've had females still look like that.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I imagined Tholtig looked like this before I realized she was a female.

No, I've had females still look like that.
Thank you! A dorf without a beard is like a day without sunshine. Or, to keep the inside jokes thoroughly incomprehensible, it's like an elf without magma.

This is a badly cropped finely carved image of Urist McLoLcat surrounded by dwarves. The cat is surrounded by dwarves. The dwarves are surrounding the cat. On the engraving is an image of a magma cannon. It burns when it pees.

There ya go, now it's more akin to DF.

History looks upon the humans and says "they survived the onslaughts and prospered by their strength."  History looks at the elves and say "they survived in harsh reality and maintained their morals."  Upon the goblins it says "despite the odds, the defenses against them, and the overwhelming death that lay ahead, they still pushed on for personal gain."

History looks upon the dwarves and says "Holy carp, someone did that?!"
