Trading - red items

When trading, sometimes red items appear.  You can't trade these.  I think they are seized goods.  However, merchants can get them with a counteroffer.

A merchant just used this to steal $500 worth of goods from me!

Don't let them leave alive! This is surely a bug, or those are some risk-taking traders. Stealing from dwarves!? Nonsense.

Im pretty sure its seized goods, a tantruming child destroyed my trade depot mid-trade (WTF!) and all the traders items (seized) turned red and untradeable.

You can also trade them if they are in an unseized bin by selecting the whole bin for trade.

You can also offer items to caravans that weren't made in your fort by offering them the bin they're in that was made in your fort.
