Corners opening into river
« on: August 22, 2006, 03:01:00 pm »

I'm not quite sure, but I believe that when a corner opens into a river, the room is considered "open"... but a door can't be placed on a corner!

code:
____~
++++|
++++|
++++|

A noble's room, as you can see. It might be just poor furniture, but I'd have expected that room to be worth more.

You might be able to build a floodgate there, though. I've been using floodgates to patch up sections of wall that don't need to be supporters, but do need to be dwarf-impassable, since you can deploy them anywhere (unlike doors) and they block movement (unlike supports).

Statues are also good candidates for filling in walls.
