Real nice writing! ^_^

The thing about humans not seeing things they don't expect is bugging me with it's unrealism thou. Maybe you should edit it to some kind of explicit magic effect of some kind, because human brains factually don't work like that.

actually yes it does. I read once about this bank robber that took hostages and managed to get them on his side becuase they didn't want to accept that their lives were in danger.

As before that was ecellent writing, also on the humans-seeing the excpected subject even if it wasn't true-  I suspect it is since it fits in with what little of the human brain I know (shape recognition E.T.C.)- it is a fairly common assumption to make in settings with masqerades that have to be kept- that low level abnormalityies get passed of as tricks of light E.T.C.

On the Bank Robber subject though- Stockolhom syndrome?

you'd be surprised at the human minds capacity for self-delusion. most of the people on the train would have simply assumed that the shot wasn't as bad as it looked and a teenager jumped in the way or something, that the man missed Clockwork by accident, and that she just happened to move while they weren't looking, rather than admit to themselves that the fact of the nonexistence of magic is false. it's not that it automatically happens, but that there are readily-available explanations which are a lot more plausible in their minds than 'a wizard did it.'

On the topic of your writing: it is awesome.

Look, I've studied some psychology. It's more likely people are biased in the OPPOSITE direction of that.

I've been too brain fried lately to write anything, and I lost my flashdrive anyway.

I've got a backup one and will start writing soon.
