Breeding Absurdities?

I've got a monkey on a chain.  I've got a dozen other monkeys in a cage, all of them are tame.  As soon as the female on the chain gives birth, I cage the children.  She is currently the ONLY monkey not in a cage, and she keeps giving birth to twins and triplets?  So, is she... is she getting pregnant from her children the instant they're born?

Also, is there any way to un-tame a creature?  I want monkey fights...  One tame monkey vs one wild monkey.

Are wild monkeys showing up on the map? If so, they're impregnating the female.

I'm fairly certain there's no way to untame animals.

She's getting pregnant from your caged males.  It appears that in the current version that a female animal who is not in a cage can become pregnant by a male animal who is in a cage.  This was not the case in previous versions, but appears to be true now.  It does still appear to be the case that caged female animals can't become pregnant.

No way to un-tame an animal as far as I know.

Practically You can't untame (at the moment) a animal , unless you beat the crap out of it every day... Fun ensures and your dwarf beater will get it up the A**

According to the Wiki, it works through walls.  Think of it as spores.  Trees have flowers; dwarves have beards.
