For a brief moment lasting what appears to have been 4 days(read: 30 minutes) you thought about pouring all of your zero dollars into a single suit that no gentleman nor thief would be caught without. This thought happened while looting your room of dead batteries which shall be placed back where you got them from.

You managed to find six batteries, and a sock. You figure you can always just use the battery sock to knock the guy out if he finds you. You would use this device to break the window you'll use to enter/escape, but you don't want to ruin your perfectly good socks.

With nothing better to do, you waste the rest of the day redrawing the target's neighborhood.

Your drawing looks more like a ham sandwich since you lack any and all artistic prowess. You briefly consider creating a skills list, but that would just be silly.

You are caught in your attempt to propose to the drawing by pretty much the entire school, but so be it! You continue your proposal with the cheap ring made from junk you got in welding class.

Your roommate comes in to redeem you for your moment of extreme stupidity by tearing up the piece of paper, and you are immediately snapped back into reality. You honestly have no idea how that happened, and regret having wasted 3 hours.

With the long awaited return of PROGRESS, we can get over that falling in love with paper thing I threw in. Expect more incidents like that, since most random tangents like that are started by listening to music.

Taking some initiative, you go to town and buy some padlocks. They all vary in size and combination, and you haven't checked the combination on any of them, nor do you ever plan to. You will instead write down each combination after unlocking them.
You got the padlocks so you could eventually learn to enter about 18 combinations per minute. Meaning you could go through every possible combination in just under 4 days. You aren't sure how you know this, but you assume the knowledge will serve you well in your life. Even though you doubt you'll ever go burglaring again. Definitely.

You also do the intelligent thing, and rush order a kit of lockpicks. Luckily this is all on your roommate's card, and he's actively aware that you use it. That would upset you more if he actually cared, because he doesn't, because he's got more than enough money. You still aren't sure why you're going to such lengths for a "one time thing."

You spend the next few days practicing with the padlocks/waiting for the lockpicks. Free time is usually spent being bothered by everyone and their kitchen sinks. Wait... you might have gotten that saying wrong... Regardless! It's now two days before the heist. You should probably try staying out of sight for n-

You answer the door to see which nuisance is bothering you this time. You swear you'll fly off the handle if it's someone you don't know. It's two people you've never met...

Argh! Why do people you don't know keep bothering you! You close the door, then immediately open it again. When they try to introduce themselves you stare at them with the wholehearted intent to murder them and they begin to back away slowly when you pick up one of the padlocks. You've begun fiddling with them to relieve stress in the last couple of days.

You find the combination, this is new. You write down the combination and pick up another padlock.

Again you find the combination. You know you didn't bother learning the combinations to them when you bought them, so you pick up another. It's like you can feel the combinations coming from the locks. You quickly remember that you have company and end the shenanigans.

They reintroduce themselves as new members of the acting class. You couldn't care less, so you give them your list of people in the acting class to avoid for their own safety and send them on their way. Your lockpicks arrive.

We need to practice with the lockpicks. Get a couple padlocks and get to it. Then, when we're reasonably proficient, let's go steal some stuff!

They're all combination padlocks. None of them need keys to open.

In a sudden fit of panic you begin storm rushing it to the lost and found of your campus. You would have gone there to get the initial padlocks, but you actually cared about whether or not people got those locks back at the time. What people seem to misunderstand is that half a week can really change a guy. In your thoughts of yesteryear, you completely bypass the lost and found, and instead wander into the accursed gymnasium. The gymnasium... Worst scumhole of the galaxy...
Well... a few useful people can be found in a few of the athletic courses, but you any hope for a nonaggression pact with any of the members died on... that day... A lot of good men and women lost their lives back on... that day... You try not to think about it too hard.
You return to the lost and found, and claim every single lock in the stupid box.
You go back to your room, and your roommate appears to be fiddling around with one of the padlocks. He seems useless at it, so you take the lock from him and show him how a boss unlocks a padlock. He leaves impressed.
