Beginner Question:

Do sleepers 'laying low' contribute even a little to liberal advocacy?  I realize that their effectiveness goes up by 1% each month if they do so.  I'm pretty sure having the sleepers become outspoken advocates decreases their effectiveness quite fast, so I hate to do so unless I have no other choice.

Sorry about the clog of posts, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere in this forum.

And having them advocate doesn't lower their effectiveness (I'm pretty sure at all, but at least not significantly) either.

Thanks for the responses.  Also, while I'm not sure that advocating liberalism reduces their effectiveness, it's clear to me that something does - might be just the passage of time.

I think that advocating liberalism does in fact reduce effectiveness, but it may be random whether or not it occurs.  Certainly, it doesn't decrease by a whole lot.

Advocating used to reduce effectiveness but that was removed for gameplay reasons.
