Dragon's fire surprisingly ineffective (nevermind)
« on: November 06, 2007, 12:01:00 pm »

I had a dragon invade at the same time as an immigrant wave.  They scattered when it charged them, which was quite funny to watch.  One unfortunate farmer was chased halfway across the map.  Despite being only 3 to 6 tiles away when the dragon breathed, the farmer was unharmed even when the fire graphic was clearly and solidly covering him.  In fact, it wasn't until he screwed up his direction and doubled-back that he was hurt, but by the dragon's claws because it got within reach of him.  The dragon breathed at the farmer over a dozen times and the farmer never took a single injury, not even minor ones.

Have you disabled temperature? I'm pretty sure it needs to be on for firebreath to work.[/mandatory question]

Oh hell, you're right.  Temperature is disabled due to speed issues in the previous release.  Thanks, that didn't occur to me.
