There's lots of fitting music out there for playing in a decidedly sinister environment.  Here's one of my own choice picks.

That only reminded me of:

This one has a suitably evil and smooth feel to it. Especially once your fortress is established down by the magma sea. It's a remix of "Hellfire Mantle" the stage 6 theme in Subterranean Animism.

It has enjoyed a spot on my playlist for a year and a half or so now, and I still love it.

Dwarf Fortress: You have a team of hundreds working for four years to make a game where you save the world again. We have one guy for four years make a near-infinite world generator, write the physics, generate histories, form detailed descriptions of every human, elf, dwarf, and goblin generated, caverns, and huge randomly generated monsters made out of who knows what. You. guys. suck.

honestly, that was a ragequit moment.  The friggin thief just walked on past and grabbed it.  There were like 100+ floors yet to be placed.
My computer struggled to load all the demons.  Then, next frame, I check the unit list....
The last.... 4+ pages.... all demons.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that felt Tristram sounded a lot like DF's theme.

Anyone else get chills at 1:46 at that whistling sound? It always stuck out at me.
