Removing useless ocean levels

Since currently the ocean is an useless mass of lagging clutter (for both adventure and dwarf fortress modes), I want to leave just 2 z-levels of ocean and only because it acts like a limit between islands and continents (I'm unaware of what other effects this might have on the world, maybe aquifers will change?, maybe it will affect the water in caverns?). So, how do I gen a world with a 2 z-level ocean?.

I think your best bet is to use PerfectWorldDF to set the ocean level 2 z-levels above the lowest elevation.

Thanks, I've been tinkering around the perfectworld but I still haven't managed to figure out how to do that though, can you be more specific?
