Save, load, build channel, crash
« on: August 21, 2006, 08:47:00 pm »

After saving and then loading my game again without exiting, I crash as soon as I hit u on the build screen. If I exit before loading or just load again after crashing, it works fine. It also wouldn't let me make a farm plot bigger than 1x3, but that worked fine after cancelling and trying again.

does this reproduce on a save you have?  this is a sporadic bug that has been reported, but if there's a save that can get it to happen over here that would be the end of the problem.

I've made a point of trying it every time I save and crashed every time, but just loading/saving/loading doesn't seem to make it happen. I guess you have to play for a while. I'll see if I can come up with a more specific way to reproduce it.

Got it: build a bridge, save, load, build a channel. Doesn't seem to matter where you put the bridge, but I just noticed you can build them through fortifications(?). It doesn't have to actually get built, you just have to place it. If you can't get it to happen, I'll email you my save.

Great, it crashed!  It wasn't handling some interface info correctly, I'll have this handled for the next update.

Thanks for the help!

edit:  bridging fortifications...  seems wrong.
