Warzone 2100, the open-source version. The design-it-yourself vehicle gimmick that it's most famous for is somewhat overrated, but it's the only RTS I've ever played that really simulates proper indirect-fire weapons.

Heh, I can vaguely remember playing that.  PS1, wasn't it?  How does the open source version compare to the original, and is it Windoze compatible?

Yes, yes.  http://wz2100.net/

It's much improved upon and quite bitchin'.

Wesnoth(installing it atm)

Wesnoth is great-- I actually wrote the Rise of Wesnoth and did a fair bit of WML (Wesnoth Scripting) stuff back in the day (for a couple of years up to shortly prior to 1.0). Then I got ate by 'real life'. Of late I've been obsessing over Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup. It's less fury inducing than Nethack, and has decent tiles. I've only managed to ascend in DCSS once, after I get more comfortable with the endgame I'm considering trying my hand at vaults and scripting there.
