Confused titans
« on: January 15, 2011, 02:19:22 pm »

More than once, when a Titan appears, it rushes towards my entrance. It then staggers around outside the fortress, as if it can't find a path or something. Sieges and caravans charge in without problem. I have a 3x1 down ramp leading to a 3 wide main entrance corridor, equipped with a warm welcome that the Titan never gets to enjoy :(

Eventually a caravan, siege, thief, or ambush will show up and the Titan will chase these newcomers around a bit. More often than not the Titan ends up sitting at the bottom of a brook. Goblins and dwarfs don't seem to struggle to paddle across this brook. The Titan doesn't drown and doesn't move. It just sits there menacing my fortress.

I'd send in the army... except I can't seem to persuade them to get their act together:

Is this normal?

I just noticed a Titan is sitting in the brook at the point where I have a water entry to my fort.
This was a tunnel under the brook which ramps up into it, coming up from below.
The tunnel does not provide a way into the fortress since it it sealed with fortifications.

Try having a restrained animal where you want the titan to go.
