Goblin just won't go down?
« on: January 12, 2011, 05:52:31 pm »

Reacently in arena mode, Just to tourture a goblin, I made a wrestler... After beating it some I thought "Oh Im going to cripple it", So I perceded to break its arms ((Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist)) Yet it still punched me so getting angrey I broke all three parts of both legs (Knee, Hip, Ankle) Yet it was still standing and punching me, MY question is how can a goblin stand with both legs broken, I know I can't are goblins some badass tough things?, Or is this a bug?

Break everything that can conceivably be broken. I'm sure that was your plan anyway, but do it and see if the goblin still stands.

Alternatively, punch his skull through his brain and be done with it. Then find another goblin and see if the same thing happens.

It is odd, though. I've always assumed things would fall over if you broke an ankle, never mind the entire leg.

I've noticed that (bipedal) enemies always fall over if you break a bone in their foot, possibly also in their upper and lower legs.  I'm not sure if breaking joints like that has the same effect.  It should, but Toady may have overlooked it.  Also, even though it's unlikely, check to see if he has a crutch in his inventory.

The key here is to make someone who can also "fist" fight pretty well, and then if you are either strong enough or big enough, you can stomp on pretty much any part of their body and shatter it. That way you can shatter their bones that you can't normally reach with wrastlin'.
