He was spared from suffering too long in DF world. I'd say he was very lucky.

I expected a bit more then just some baby that was eaten...

In a world where the word for Shield and Baby are the same thing... It just doesn't stick out.

The king of one of my civilizations had a terrible life, and so did his second son.  Probably his first one too, but less so, since he was killed by an ogre after a year.  The king lost like 3 or 4 of his 5 sons, but none of his daughters.  His second son was kidnapped when he was 10, married at 14, to a kidnapper, and was murdered at 17.  During those 3 years, he never had any children, but got to see his wife take a bunch.  I believe his third son was killed fairly young too, but I don't remember him as well because he got overshadowed by his brother.

Ok, maybe it wasn't that bad, he had like 8 kids after all, and the first one was born by the time he was 13.

Ah Dwarf Fortress...
In the Year 635 the town of Hot Tattoos was attacked by a baby eating dragon...
Hot Tattoos is a coastal town famed for its brothels and tattoo parlours servicing sailors from the Moist Lake a good but savage ocean, with a large population of mermaids/merpeople....
