I think it's quite obvious as to what the Pentagon really is. The Pentagon's land used to house a mine. A mine that went really deep into the crust, children hired by monopolies to labor in it. People could be born in this mine and die without ever seeing the sun. It was the greatist mine to have ever been made. And then they Dug Too Deep.

So young children had more children who had children? All while they are children?
Though in retrospect, it's not very far-fetched.

They expected that to occur for quite a long time, hence the Pentagon containment sigil.

The Pentagon has been used as a demon summoning site before. It was only stopped by the combined efforts of JFK, Nixon, Castro and McNamara, and their heroic effort was made into a minigame in the new Call of Duty.

No, they hired children who grew up and had children.
Spoiler: Then This Happened (click to show/hide)
Then President Taft stoped the horde by himself and buit the Pentagon to contain the survivors. One day, he and Teddy Roosevelt will get tired of being Co-Presidents of Hell and return to the surface world.

There are five John Dillingers, they were born quintuplets, and thats why people now believe them to be dead because they found the body of one of them.

There are three left alive, hiding out in a cabin on the rocky mountains.

Elvis is neither alive nor dead, he was, in fact, a hologram.
