They're nearly as bad as badgers. Build a couple of anti-buzzard SAM sites marksdwarf towers and your fortress will look like Baghdad in 2003 from all the aerial bolt spam. You waste a lot of ammo and everything is covered in unslightly exploded buzzard bits and broken bolts.

Would it make you happy were I do mod in giant gloves for your game, so that you could make these things?
Yes, yes it would. :D

I do this too, but I like to build a two-armed spiral walkway one tile wide over the pit, with a stairway to the bottom at the center. That way, if invaders survive the fall, they get hit again whether they're still trying to attack or not.

I did this with wooden training spears and it works beautifully.  So many dead goblins and trolls.

Although for some reason the trolls eventually wised up and now hang out just outside my fort.  The goblins still haven't caught on though.  :)

Throw some nice statues and gem windows near the edge of the bridge to lure the trolls in.  Maybe some cabinets as well ;)

This is a useful feature..and this is DF.. so im gonna assume its bugged
That's what cages and minecart shotguns are for!  We don't need to control them.  We just need to aim them.

Is that how it works?  Are trolls attracted to high-value areas?  If so then I will definitely do that! :)

Trolls are attracted to high value things they can smash.

must try, but my design will be where I close my fort off and the only way in will be a spiral path that goes up with 1 tile wide walkways filled with traps. that way, the higher up they manage to get, the more fatal the fall.

Wait , Wasn't this common design?

I normally dump Misery Corridors Due to it's cheapness , but in times of Emergency , it comes useful

I did this a while ago in a succession fort.

Only that I combined it with a goblin grinder and had very good traps there.
