Cheating in adventure mode?
« on: December 25, 2010, 04:58:55 pm »

So, I saw a thread about putting the world into the age of death on a pocket world, butch how to do that is unknown to me, since he said he cheated to achieve a character to do it, but how do I cheat? it would be fun being the worlds demise.

Well, the easiest way would be to rig things through the Advanced World Gen.

Set megabeast/semimegabeast caves to 0, set caverns to 0, set Titans, Demons, and Night Creatures to 0, mountain/non-mountain caves to 0, civs to 0, set Good to maximum, and elevation as high as possible. That should generate a world of little but good mountains and next to no creatures larger than a few stray animals and few of those since the list of animals that spawn in a Good Mountain biome are few indeed.

If you actually want it to be because of your own physical action, then set Titans to whatever number you want and kill them off. Be aware that you'll have to play as a human outsider this way so it'd probably be best to train up a thrower and kill them with rocks.

You can alter any of the other settings as well though I'd recommend against raising caverns above 0 since Forgotten Beasts could mess things up for you if you can't find a cavern to get access to it.

Runesmith hasn't been updated yet? Then no. You could create a custom race, make them incapable of having civilisations (so you're the only one) and use the natural skill tag to make yourself legendary in everything.

Or you could add custom adventurer mode reactions that used whatever skill you want for no reagents and no products, and just do the reaction over and over again.

Are there any sort of guides for creating custom races that you would recommend? Because personally messing with the raws from scratch gives me a headache?

Just copy the raws of whatever race you want to play as in the Entity default text And change their nanes. Then give them [ADVENTURE_TIER:4] Make sure their settlement prefrences are [MOUNTAIN_CITY] or something like that and give them [NATURAL_SKILL:X:XX] I'm not sure about the last part, but the tags in the raws are fairly self explanatory.
