Popular (with a certain fanbase), evil, bad music. You need at least to be a decent person with decent music if you're popular. Often the charisma part is compromised, however.

So you all would give up free money, the only condition of it being going up onto stage and poorly lip sinking to highly auto-tuned songs you had no hand in creating in the first place?

Wow. What is this world coming to.

And seriously, who DOESN'T want threads devoted to them on places like B12 about how much people do or don't hate them? Forget the money, forum fame.

*Raises hand*

I would assume I would be pretty much the same. I don't know. I think I would be too religious for any studio to want.

And my voice cracks every other word so I can't sing. And the work ethic.

Look at that: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pray_(Justin_Bieber_song)

Several references with critics from major newspapers, which give different views on him...but several claims that he can perform.

I've not added this to proof that he makes 'good' music/songs, because that's a matter of taste. But the statements here that he would be solely a product of media cooperates and he does not have any qualities as an artist itself, are not true.

Anyways, I think that's it for me now here in this discussion because I think we are in an endless loop now ;). I did not find any believable/reasonable statements why he's being attacked in that scope.
I still stay on my conclusion that 'success' and the accompanied envy are key reasons. I see this also in other areas of live...

I personally just hate his music, as do most of the people I know.

I don't like him because I'm just not a fan of the boy band genre. It's certainly not because I'm jealous. I could be a pop sensation if I used Autotune too.

When people hear his voice they go "Wow, that chick must be hot" and then they find out that he's a guy and they have to hate him or they would be gay.

But the feeling never goes away.

And that is why people hate Justin Beiber.

No one actually does that, it's just a played-out joke people make.

I've done that once. I was driving and a song came up on the radio that was unfamiliar. The singer sounded like a nice female singer, maybe African American judging from the tone, and I started noticing that the overall timbre was a bit off. Then it hit me. Justin Bieber.

That said, I don't actually hate him.
