CHARGE!!!! Where the hell is it?

Me and my band of merry men about 12 of us including me, set off to kill a moutain titan. We arrived at his shrine and all the gold loot and dead bodies and all the usual evil paraphernalia is there. But no Titan!
Is he hiding or something?

And then Joshkidd was an ettin.

I haven't encountered too many titans, and they've always been at home, but I've been ambushed by a full-on night creature while traveling at night.  I guess there is either some tendency to wander, or there is some rudimentary code implemented that allows entities to wander around the world map.  Possibly a remnant of world-gen.

It turns out i killed it, after wandering around ganging up on a buzzard and punching it to death i hit Q and noticed that instead off " Kill BLAH BLAH " it was " Report death of BLAH BLAH "

The buzzard WAS the titan! But in seriousness, some titans are so pathetically weak they get killed without you even seeing anything.

You might want to check out the Titan in Legends Mode; there's a chance that he was made out of water, steam, or dirt. A copper carving knife chipping the tissue can do a Sandy Loam Titan in for instance. If it was that kind of Titan, one of your companions might have slain him before you even noticed it. I had that happen with a Minotaur once.
