Super robot taisen J has recently been fan translated.
There's also super robot taisen OG 1 and 2.

Mother 3 is kickass. Though it's only an rpg.

Also what does TBS mean?

Edit: Wait it's Turn based system.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
Riviera: The Promised Land

Fire Emblem isn't exactly the same, but might be similar enough to pique your interest.

Advance Wars, turn-based strategy. More fun with a friend, though.

Advance Wars is worth checking out. Sort of like a simplified *General series for the gba.

Rebelstar: Tactical Command is from the makers of X-Com, so worth checking out as well.

He's 14.  I think he's asking if they look "dated" by today's standards.  The tone implies that they're not good enough to play, if they are.

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus these games look just fine.  And besides, since around ten years ago the only reason games look bad is due to poor art direction--not poor technology.

Or, as I read it:

With all the punctuation in Dwarf Fortress I'd think you'd have some to spare.

If you're looking for RTS, the only thing I ever found for the GBA was Mech Platoon. Which was sorta cool on paper, probably, but turned out more or less awful. It's something like a traditional C&C game, except with ability to design units from different parts a-la Earth 2150 (or Scorched Earth). I never got far enough in it to see if the story is good enough to keep you interested.

Hehe. Yeah. It would have been great on the pc due to mouse support.
I own the actual cartridge.
