Topic: Need some help with my head phones for games. (Read 892 times)

I've got a decent pair of headphones, but the problem is left and right are not marked on my head phones. I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out a way to determine which side is which so I could make sure I turn the right way when I hear someone sneaking up beside me.

I've already checked to see if I could change the balance between left and right via my sound settings, but I can't...

I've also tried throwing a grenade and then turning to one side to make sure it sounds right, but I can never tell then either...

~~Can't you just go in windows/mac OS/(insert linux build here) sound control panel and mute one side?~~ scratch that, you can't.
Best hope is to find a sound file that is strongly directional then.

? adjust them so one piece hangs on your ear, and the other hangs off your a head a bit.

then throw a grenade to your right and then a grenade to your left.

Download and install winamp, adjust balance to left, play something, adjust balance to right, play something, uninstall winamp.
