A Puppy Throne? Now that's something nice for a craftsdwarf. Or butcher. Or Animal trainer. A living puppy throne would start smelling, though.

Also, yeah, I'm turning my dogs into war dogs as well, but I hope I won't get much more.

Thought so. Bitches are often simply called dog as well, though, so maybe there was something else for male ones as well.

Can you confirm that you are really using a 16x16 starting zone?  What does your current layout look like?  Does your fortress just have a really big front lawn?
