Maniacal laughter follows the death of the wizard. We offer a choice to the remaining soldiers, servitude or horrific death.

Those that accept our offer are slain on the spot, and every corpse upon the battlefield begins to stir as our dark powers sunder the mortal veil itself, granting unlife to the dead.

Those that refuse our benevolent offer are mutilated and killed in terrible ways, their undead corpses left impaled upon spears forever to twitch in agony.

I actually really like the idea of the recently dead standing up suddenly and doing the michael jackson's Thriller while we offer the choice to the still-living.

Even better when there's no actual music to go along with it.

The thriller dance is uncomfortable and kind of creepy with no music.

Even more so I expect when they are all making sickening zombie noises.

A dark overlord with a Lich or Necromancer as a general and/or advisor on magical matters? Only possibility I can think of to be honest. Also, I approve of raised minions doing a Thriller dance, without music.
