z level digging question

is there a way to designate digging through multiple z levels or am i forced to do it slice by slice, like i have been?

Yeah, slice by slice.

Though if it's just a small area you're trying to designate (like 2x2 max), a nice shortcut is to click+hold the area you want dug and press >.

If you're digging mostly the same pattern, I'd set up a short macro. make sure to include the "go down one z-level" command at the end of the macro.

Pick up Quickfort and Chromafort. Together, they make larger digging plans a breeze. Just get used to zooming in Paint to 800% and painting pixel-by-pixel.

Or you could use Webfort and quickfort.
