Adventurer cave hard to find
« on: October 30, 2007, 09:32:00 am »

I love the new seamless world in adventure mode, but I've already discovered an annoyance with it.  Because each world section is so large, it's next to impossible to find the cave location for a quest.  I spent nearly an hour combing an area trying to find the passage down.  I finally just gave up.

Maybe we could put in a 'survey' key that would scan an area for important landmarks.  Something like, 'You see a cave to the southwest'.

In fact, on the log screen (Q), when you zoom you can see 9 "O". The entrance of the cave is somewhere inside those "O", and not only in the middle.

I don't think it's too hard to find a cave, but it would be nice to put a few indications. Like in Morrowind "go to the est since you see a river then follow it for about 2 hours, then go to the west. The entrance is under a cliff."

Cool, I never knew you could do that.

Didn't know that either!  That should make it much easier to be killed by colossi.
