Yeah, Toady should probably restrict castle materials to Large Cluster or above, maybe even Layer Stone-only.  I do have to admit the cinnabar and hematite castles were pretty kickass though.

I found a bridge that went over a cliff and terminated about 4 zs above-ground.

Though I don't think I've ever seen an honest to god, complete, functional human bridge in .17+. That one's just the oddest.

I have seen them, but, it was upside down, you know the rails on the sides? they were down into the water, while the walkway was above water.

I found a Magnetite castle once. It would have been funny if there were a bunch of goblins in Iron armor stuck to the side of it while Bronze armored humans poked at them with spears.

That would have been quite the story. I've seen solid native platinum AND solid native gold block castles. Maybe that's why they couldn't build bigger.
