Anyone Still Play v23?
« on: December 04, 2010, 03:37:00 am »

I was wondering if anyone ever occasionally boots up old v23. I recently did to get the same experience that the fellows at the Something Awful forums had while playing boatmurdered.

I also have a question, how do I irrigate farms? And what's the business with aqueducts?

You irrigate farms using the seasonal flooding from the underground river.  Aqueducts are used to transport water/magma over the underground river/magma lake/bottomless chasm.

Or you can irrigate farms from river with floodgate and channel. Just remember the close the farm door before you let the water in or you flood the world.

Aqueduct is bridge for liquids.

and  wiki is still your friend, after all these years.

it also helps to spam bridges orer the cave river to stop dwarfs drowing as much and to isolate animal men ambush's, you can also dump magma into the chasm to "clear out" animal men and other beasties.

I just realized, after adding the new body parts to the other races, that I have an entire squad of dwarves with a shield in each hand and swinging their axes with their penises. There's nightmare fuel for those goblins, in more ways than one.
