Worldgen and Demonic Leaders
« on: November 27, 2010, 05:24:21 pm »

I'm trying to find out if there is a way to increase the amount of demonic creatures generated in worldgen. Specifically the demons able to leader/usurp civs.
They always tend to get killed off during world gen leaving me with very few interesting civ leaders.
I long for goblin raids led by their horrifying Butterfly demon with his toxic blood keeping the kitten population down.
My search fu is admittedly weak, I have not been able to find any info on this in the wiki or forums.
Any help would be appreciated.

Tried modifying the "number of generated demon types" in the worldgen params? It might not affect individual demons, but it's probably worth a try... I don't know of anything else you could do.

Yea I haven't found that modification to make much difference.
I've had worldgens where the demonic leaders where numbered in the dozens, but many times there are around 20 or less. with 80%+ dead in under 200 years of history.

edit: its my understanding that that particualr setting changes how many base types of demon gets created during world creation.
