injured dwarf still in bed

He was a military dwarf and got a leg injury. The doctor fixed his wound up and it turned into "dented", then eventually "scarred". For most of the time, he has been in an unassigned bed on my bedroom level. He has been there for quite some time, and was wondering when he will get up.

I have a s***load of crutches and splints. I don't think it was a bone injury anyways. It was a big gash up his leg or something.

Check his health screen (h on dwarf status screen) - status, wounds, treatment, history.
I have similar problem, but in my case his wound healed by itself. He just rest in hospital waiting for doctor to diagnose him because it was scheduled under treatment tab.
