What just happened?

Recently got back into DF after being told it got a rather large facelift(which is a massive improvement btw). And well... everytime I make an elf I start in a human town, so I go to talk and get a quest and all of the humans say "don't talk to me" then they all go berserk and attack me, sometimes they all kill each other and me sometimes they just gang up on me.EDIT: checked several other towns filled with humans apparently all of them hate me but only if I talk to them so My question remains; what did i do to these humans that pissed them off so bad?

Nope, brand new character every elf I make gets brutally murdered. Guess i'm going to play a human :P.

Your civilizations are probably at war. I suggest using a human or dwarf, or gen a new world.

Yeah, and you always start in a human town regardless of race because humans are the only race with towns right now.

Three Genned worlds , seems that the Human leaders have some kind of problem against Elves , still don't know why they ignore you until you speak to them

I think it has something to do with your social awareness skill. Dont take any points out of it next character or maybe its one of the other skills. I just read that somewhere
