I had my first metalsmith KIA, and when first bunch of migrants arrived i recieved a message "the Metalsmith so-and-so has arrived" in dark purple color usually used for nobles arriving messages. But its just a simple and perfectly normal metalsmith.

Whats so important about that metalsmith ? I already have an anvil from my first one, and training another dwarf with it isnt that hard...

I forgot to say that i had my first smithy killed in other games twice i think, but i never got this purple message when new one arrived.

It's a bug and unfortunately I've no idea what causes it. Nothing special about him I'm afraid.

Might as well report another bug. During my last immigration wave one of the immigrants was a champion (usually a dwarf with a legendary weapon skill), but he had no skills at all. Not sure if this is related, but I've all the Order of <weaponclass> nobles.

This happened to me as well. A group of migrants arrived and was announced, and then it announced the arrival of a Manager, Sherrif, Ferite, Berite, Trapper, and a Child, all in purple.
Nothing special about them. It was a huge load of migrants though, a little over 20.

This is bizarre.  I'll have to look at it.

I thought that was some sort of new feature.  I've been getting almost all my immigrants with skills announced just like the nobles whenever a noble comes with the party.
