Crossposting my weapon research thread here.

It's good information for fortress mode, but adventurers don't have to rely on the AI for aiming. Even during the version that was done, players were using wrestling more effectively than fortress dwarves or arenaspawn.

I recommend you retry the unarmed vs weapon grandmaster test, but assume control of the unarmed grandmaster, learn how to apply the wrestling skill, and see how many weapon grandmasters you can fight.

Recuperation and Disease Resistance are obviously used, and nearly impossible to increase. I also noticed that if you set Intuition to Superior, it becomes Super--- instead, which certain others don't. This kinda suggests it might be used for something. Focus can be trained, but seemed slower than other stats.
But yeah, the benefits of those are minimal and 700 speed is certainly very impractical.

Intuition is used for Observer skill. The only way I know to train it is to walk around spider webs, since spiders always in ambush.

Recuperation helps withstand bloodloss and infection and their combined effect. The more you have, the more blood you can lose without going Pale, Faint, passing out or dying.

EDIT: First time using a pick with this adenturer, picked a well-crafted bronze one up off the floor of the Bleak Horror's lair. Hit him once with it in the chest, opened an artery in the heart (Dabbling Miner 24/500). Took almost 10 rounds for it to bleed to death.

You can also train observer by having someone charge at you repeatedly, just find a creature bigger than you.
