There could be children from one of his relatives, but it does appear that the da Vinci line ended some time ago.  We need to find some sort of a sidekick from modern times to help us acclimate.  Preferably a computer engineer.

We can travel through time. Why are we not doing this more! I enjoy the idea of retroactively siring a line of more geniuses, continuing to the present with the express purpose of helping us avert worldwide catastrophe in the year 5000!

All those mad scientists and conspiracy theorists gotta come from somewhere, right?
