Replacement AC adapter
« on: November 03, 2010, 02:26:43 pm »

I have looked everywhere and don't know where to turn. I know members of this forum have varied interests and might have experience in this kind of thing.

I am looking for advice on replacing a missing AC power adapter. It's for a Logitech Force 3D Pro joystick. On the base of the joystick it has the following power information:
Quote
5Vdc [some weird lines] .100mA
24Vdc [some weird lines] .750mA

The box the adapter came in has the following:
Quote
P/N:190211-A310
[image of male jack] L=2130mm

The Logitech site has two pertinent articles on adapters.

http://logitech-en-emea.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9015
http://logitech-en-emea.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9016

The P/N on the box my adapter came in does not appear on either page but being in the UK and with the information I've already mentioned I reckon that I need an adapter with a P/N of 190211-A330 but I can't find anywhere that sells these.

Can I just buy a UK socket compatible AC power adapter for a device that requires a 24Vdc .750mA output with no Auto switching without blowing up or setting fire to anything? Is there anything I'm missing?

Pre-emptive thanks for any help.

Edit: Turns out the centre pole has to be positive, whatever that means...
