I sense Fun in my second layer of caverns

I breached my second layer of caverns and I was overwhelmed with messages. According to DF I have found an expansive cavern(obviously), a deep pit and adamantine. I looked around the cavern, there were rough-hewn adamantine walls at certain areas of it and rough-hewn Unknown Material walls. Now, I have found, what seems to be, a completely safe way to dig thorough this mess. I want to get to the magma sea, but is there a chance that I won't get the magma sea and breach Hell right after this cavern?

Sounds like the sea glitched out.

It's always best to prepare for the worst, at any rate.
