Was hoping for a good one...
« on: November 11, 2010, 07:32:29 am »

But ended up with this. Worth a bunch, not useful to me at all.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Although, I was a little peeved when he kept running back and forth grabbing leather and cloth, then ran for an adamantine wafer...

Maybe I can use this somehow when I open up the carnival?

If by some chance you've got the Fun Fortress on your map, you can place the hatch over the adamantine block and remove the seal. It would be awesome (if you ignore the fact that demons can teleport through floors).

What -is- that graphics set?! Why have they changed all the letters to annoying pictures?! I am confused...
On topic: You probably have dwarves who like hatch covers, though. :)

It is Ironhands. I guess the pictures represent the 'special characters'.

I want to switch back to Mayday, because Ironhand is a bit to dark for me. But I have grown to like it a lot.

It might not be as useful as a legendary sword, but it's more useful than a legendary flask! (which I have btw, it's bloodstone, very nice).

Use it in conjunction with a pressure plate to seal off an area from non-dwarves. step on pressure plate, hate opens and non-dwarf path is broken by a deadly pit.

No! No! I will not massacre my children. Instead, I'll make them corpulent on crappy mass-produced quarry bush biscuits and questionably grown mushroom alcohol, and then send them into the military when they turn 12...

Set it up in your Dining room (or King's quarters).  Even if it's not attached to anything, it'll add immensely to the room and your Dwarf's will swoon over it.

You my friend are the proud owner of an Instant Legendary Dining Hall Kit, some assembly required.

It's so easy to get a legendary dining hall without it though. Just carve a 5x12 room and fill it with 20 tables and chairs, then smooth the floors/walls.

My dining hall is rather large, but only has four tables and eight chairs, all stone. How would I set the hatch up in there? Just, build it normally?

Heh, I spent so much time getting my starting sevens living area made, that everything else suffered. Rose gold everything, and the hallway has lava showcases with clear glass.

Maybe I can use this in a death trap of sorts? Sort of let the enemies know, I am so rich, I use this to drain the water that kills you.
