Some bad news - My internet connection is too slow to play in the servers with more than four opponents. I should have guessed this would happen, I feel like I have just wasted all of my precious money. In a year or two when Telecom unbundles the lines, hopefully the price of high speed broadband will go down.

Yea portal is good. Surprisingly, with video settings put higher than that of HL2 it also performs better. I had never played the halflife series before so I also have that to muck around in.

While I most certainly had the most fun with TF2, Portal and the entire HL2 series are both amazing, have numerous mods, and can be replayed almost endlessly (With DLC, of course.) So there's no waste of money, and TF3 isn't coming any time soon. Took them 9 years to make this game in the first place.

Well, when you finish HL2,I recommend looking into mods for that, much fun can be gained!

One I really suggest is SMOD.

I just finished HL2, after what, nearly 6 months of owning it lol? It was a good game, I particularly enjoyed the ending alot with the crazy Grav-gun. Now just to wait for Episode 3 and then get the other two episodes in a bundle.

It's hilarious that Duke Nukem Forever is coming out before Episode 3.

I'll believe that when it's out.

They've been showing it off at conventions.  It's basically guaranteed at this point, unless something drastic happens to the company.

So my crundles are staying intact unless they're newly spawned... until they are exposed to anything that isn't at room temperature.  This mostly seems to mean blood, specifically, their own.  Then they go poof very quickly.

Like they get a case of Valve developers' hat obsession.

It's probably made from baby bone, with a handle of baby leather. Probably uses the leg bones wound together for the handle, the pelvis for the handle/pick joint, and the pick is the spine.

But that's all in theory, of course. Not like I've made a pick out of my own 5 month old baby before.

Yeah and it was guaranteed every other time.  The only difference is that it's a new dev, and while that might just be the one that counts, it's still Duke Nukem Forever.  It would be doing it's legacy a diservice to be anything more than cautiously optimistic.
