Gauntlets and boots on embark?

Do they automatically come in pairs or do you have to shell out the money for double what you intend to bring?

I believe they come in pairs, but really, you should just spend it on food and drink unless you're reclaiming a fort that fell to fun.

You can generate worlds with more points and thus embark with numerous full sets of armor.

But I guess you'll have to do a test embark and just check to be sure.
