Tower Caps

In the old 2D version smoothing a floor prevented the growth of tower caps. This was a good thing as you could ensure that areas did not get blocked by smoothing. This does not happen in the new versions.

Also Tower Caps that grew on a smooth stone floor when cut down destroyed the stone and replaced it with a sand tile. In a biome that didn't not have sand. (there was sand on an adjacent biome though) This also includes shrubs that are growing.

The offending towercap is in the large hollowed out square pit with the smoothed floor.

If you can create sand with tower-caps... you can make glass in a glassless map!! And keep moody dwarves from going nutzoid!

I'll fold it into Bug 657.  The save has been downloaded and I'll take a look at some point.
