Offduty Uniforms

i've seen serveral threads mentioning there is an option for military dwarfes to keep their armor on when offduty, supposedly on the equipment menu, howevers i'm still unable to locate it.

could some one tell me the specific commands to get there/ toggle it? (m -> e --> ???)

m -> s -> u to toggle it between armored when inactive and civ clothes when inactive.  I think its on by default, but I'm not sure.

I'm playing .12 and my dwarves still strip off their armor after I've cancelled a move order, I can't seem to get them to keep their armor on even with the option set to uniformed when off-duty.

I've had this problem with .12-.16; they should keep their uniforms on, but not only do they switch, they leave their uniform scattered so that when I have to deploy them, around half of them are in 'Pickup Equipment' mode, and even the ones who do show up in a timely manner don't have all their gear. ("Good job bringing your crossbow, private. Now where the hell is your ammo?")
