Mlitary Tactics?

Does this currently have any use, or is it just a place-holder for future game functionality?

This is just my personal theory, but I think its for later when you can send dwarves to attack other civilisations, and "military tactics" might contribute to a "general" noble or something like that that leads your boyz

You don't exactly command them with any sort of tactics NOW, anyway
I mean, our controls basically boil down to Move there, and Kill that thing, or Run around in circles till you find something you can swarm
No concepts of retreat, defence, concentrating firepower, formations, etc
